About us

Clinical Pharmacist Solutions is a leading clinical services provider of clinical pharmacist and pharmacy technicians to support to general practice, PCNs and wider primary care across the UK. We work closely with practices and healthcare organisations to deliver high-quality workforce solutions that reduce pressure, improve service delivery and support better patient care.

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Business Development Manager to join our team on a fixed-term basis to support our commercial activity during a key period for the business.

The role

This is an important role within the business, responsible for driving business development activity, managing prospective client relationships, and supporting the conversion of new opportunities into long-term partnerships.

You will work closely with the wider team to maintain momentum across outreach, lead generation, meetings, proposals and follow-up activity. This role would suit someone who is commercially minded, highly organised, and confident in building relationships with stakeholders across primary care.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day sales/ business development activity

  • Identify and pursue new opportunities with GP practices, PCNs, ICBs and other primary care stakeholders.

  • Qualify opportunities effectively and prioritise focus based on commercial fit, urgency and likelihood to close.

  • Respond to inbound enquiries and qualify new opportunities

  • Build and maintain relationships with prospective clients and partners

  • Arrange and lead introductory and follow-up meetings

  • Prepare tailored proposals and commercial responses for prospective clients

  • Maintain accurate pipeline tracking and ensure timely follow-up.

  • Maintain accurate records of client conversations, proposals, follow-up actions and next steps within the CRM. 

  • Work closely with internal teams to support onboarding and mobilisation of new contracts

  • Support outreach and marketing campaigns where appropriate

  • Monitor activity and outcomes using CRM systems and internal reporting tools

  • Represent the business professionally and confidently in all external communications

About you

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Experienced in business development, sales, partnerships or account management

  • Confident speaking with senior stakeholders and developing new relationships

  • Highly organised and able to manage multiple opportunities at once

  • Proactive, responsive and commercially aware

  • Strong in written and verbal communication

  • Comfortable working independently in a remote role

  • Ideally familiar with primary care, NHS services or healthcare workforce solutions

  • This role is only open for those that are UK based

Desirable

  • Experience working with GP practices, PCNs or NHS organisations

  • Experience selling services rather than products

  • Experience using CRM systems

  • Understanding of the primary care landscape

Job Title: Business Development Manager
Location: Remote with occasional travel as required
Contract: Fixed-term 12 months maternity cover with potential to become permanent 
Hours: Full-time
Salary: Competitive, depending on experience
