We are looking to recruit a highly motivated Community Pharmacist for an Independent community pharmacy based in Cromer. We are a busy, independent community pharmacy attatched to a GP practice, serving a diverse local population with a strong focus on medicines optimisation and clinical services. We work closely with the GP team to deliver high‑quality, patient‑centred care.
You will work alongside a great team with 4 accredited checking technicians (ACTs) and another pharmacist, you will have day-to-day leadership and support from the superintendent pharmacist and pharmacy manager.
The Role: • You will be the Responsible Pharmacist leading our pharmacy team. • You will manage the day to day work of the community pharmacy including being involves in the pharmacy first service, NMS, hypertension case finding, vaccinations and contraception services. • You will have full access to GP surgery systems during working hours, enabling you to actively contribute to prescribing optimisation • Close collaboration with GPs and the wider clinical team to improve patient outcomes • Supporting cost-effective and evidence-based prescribing • Active involvement in patient care pathways • Strong mentorship and professional development opportunities • Exposure to cutting-edge pharmacy automation and digital systems • The opportunity to make a real impact on patient care
Person Specification Experience • Prior experience in either setting is valued but not essential, as full support and development will be provided. • A motivated and enthusiastic pharmacist eager to develop across community and clinical roles. • A patient-focused mindset with a desire to continuously improve service delivery. • Willingness to embrace technology and new ways of working. • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Qualifications Essential • Completion of a degree in pharmacy and registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council. • Community pharmacy experience essential; experience of working with or within GP practices/PCNs highly desirable. • Post-qualification experience in pharmacy (hospital, primary care or community), or working towards obtaining this. • Independent prescribing qualification or willingness to work towards it is an advantage. • Member of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS).
